2.08 billion US dollars! China Construction signs contract for King Salman Smart Zone project in Saudi Arabia

According to Arab Economic News, on July 10th, Saudi Arabia's King Salman Smart Zone project signing ceremony was held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, between Saudi Arabia's Saudi Arabia based EL-SEIF consortium and China State Construction Engineering Corporation

Mr. Jerry Inzerillo, CEO of Delayiemen Limited, congratulated China State Construction Engineering Corporation on signing the contract with the Saudi EL-SEIF consortium for the project. He emphasized that the project is a key focus of the Saudi government and a new gateway project for Riyadh. He hopes that the joint venture between China State Construction Engineering Corporation and Saudi Arabia's EL-SEIF can fully leverage its first-class management and implementation capabilities in the high-end housing construction field, and turn this significant project into a boutique project.

Wang Shaofeng, Chairman of China Construction Middle East Company, and Wei Chuanhai, Deputy General Manager of China Construction Middle East Company and General Manager of China Construction Saudi Arabia Branch, attended the signing ceremony. Wang Shaofeng expressed gratitude to the owner for choosing the joint venture between China State Construction Engineering Corporation and Saudi Arabia EL-SEIF to undertake this project. He emphasized that China State Construction Engineering Corporation will leverage its full industry chain advantages and work closely with its joint venture partners to ensure the smooth implementation of the project.

The King Salman Smart Zone project is located in the western part of Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. It is a major project invested and constructed by the Saudi government under the "2030 Vision" to further enhance the education, culture, and tourism level of the capital Riyadh. The project has a construction area of approximately 340000 square meters and a contracted cost of approximately 2.08 billion US dollars. It mainly includes iconic cultural buildings such as King Salman University, Capella Hotel, Saudi Royal Museum, Salman Library, Research Institute, and Cultural Square.
