3.3 billion dirhams injected! The construction industry in the United Arab Emirates will usher in a new peak

Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, recently approved over 3.3 billion dirhams in housing aid to improve the living standards of the people of the capital, the United Arab Emirates. To coincide with the upcoming Eid al Adha celebration, housing and welfare programs have been distributed to 2015 citizens.

The financial assistance includes providing housing loans worth over 3 billion dirhams to 1766 Emirati, including 782 loans for the purchase of residential units in residential projects. Low income elderly people and families of deceased citizens have been exempted from housing loans, totaling over 262 million dirhams. The development project will also include 17 parks and recreational areas, a school, 5 commercial complexes, 15.5 kilometers of bike lanes, and nearly 90 kilometers of sidewalks.

Since its establishment, the Housing Authority has cumulatively paid over 152 billion dirhams in housing support. In April of this year, Sheikh Khalid approved a housing plan worth 2.18 billion dirhams to provide housing for 1502 citizens to celebrate Eid al Fitr.
